the humble Cricket
As I've been sung to sleep by choruses of these little creatures during the month of August, I thought I'd create a quick tribute; the text is taken from a medieval bestiary online & it absolutely broke my heart the first time I read it. True-er in its description of the very essence of Cricket than any modern scientific description could approach.
